Frequently Asked Questions
What will in-person learning look like?
Students will attend school in-person every day. The in-person experience will look more similar to school prior to the pandemic, including in-person learning for all students for the full day. Some health protocols (such as the use of masks, avoiding large gatherings, etc.) will still be in place.
What are the benefits of in-person learning?
In-person learning allows teachers and schools to best support the academic, social-emotional and mental-health needs of our students. And we’ve seen that for most students, face-to-face time spent with teachers, peers and school-support staff results in a more engaging, successful learning experience. For our younger learners in particular, quality in-person instruction is crucial for them to develop physically, mentally, socially and emotionally, and sets them up for a lifetime of learning.
What health and safety procedures and requirements will be in place for in-person learning?
All students and staff, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear masks 100% of the time. We have 2 full-time custodians, as well as a 4-member nightly cleaning crew that will use special procedures to ensure all areas of the school are deep-cleaned daily.
